Sid Kandola of City Furniture & Appliances Kamloops has been highly involved within his local community. City Furniture has taken part in contributing large donations to the IndoCanLinks Annual Charity Golf Tournament in support of raising money for hospital equiptment and recently building a new cancer ward. Furthermore, the store has taken part of Dr.Gur Singh's Annual Brain Injury Charity Golf Tournament by providing donations and door prizes. The company has also hosted 2 out of 12 of the City Furniture Annual Charity Golf Tournaments in which a cheque was presented to the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation. The local store has also provided assistance to Big Brothers and Sisters for any special items they have needed. Both Valleyview Secondary and St.Ann's Academy have praised City Furniture for their contributions during dry grad and the renovation of the new wing of St.Ann's Academy. Sid has also made a significant amount of contributions to both local Sikh Temples in the form of appliances and electronics as well as donations. Your local City Furniture has taken part in sponsoring and contributing to sporting events such as sponsoring the Kamloops Blazers Player of the Year for 3 consecutive years. They have also proudly sponsored teams in the Kamloops Minor Hockey League and Kamloops Youth Soccer Association. Being apart of the Kamloops Rotary Day Break for almost 10 years has allowed City Furniture to contribute within the community and internationally with many of the charitable evens run by the organization. Most recently, City Furniture has just donated funds to support the Childrens Run Across Canada, a foundation started to donate funds to each hospital province during their annual run-a-thons.
